There was a virus that attached it self to email and if you opened it it would put viruses all over the place. How do I make sure this doesn't happen to me.

you should have use the virus scanner in your yahoo email account to scan it before downloading it
next to the download link it asks you if you want to scan it
Reply:don't open it is the easiest answer. talk to friends about how they send you emails, and be specific with your messages that way you know that the msg is from a friend.

Reply:All yahoo mail attachments are scanned already....relatively safe. Your anti-virus software should do the rest if a virus is discovered.

If I have more then one email address registered with PayPal can people pay me via my secondary email?
I two different email addresses confirmed with PayPal. One is the primary address. If I don't want someone to know my primary email address, can I have them send payment to my secondary address and still get payment?

You can pay to/from any of the registered accounts at any time. The only difference between the primary and secondary accounts is that your notifications get sent to your primary account only.

Can I have my Yahoo email automatically forwarded to work and still keep a copy in Yahoo?
Occasionally I have problems accessing Yahoo from work due to our server blocking, I have set up automatic forwarding but I understand that if I do that, I won't be able to pick up emails at home unless I go through my workplace server.

Yes, you could do that. But why not just wait until you get home to check your Yahoo! mail? I know we all like to check our mail, but there probably isn't any so urgent that it can't wait until we get home.
Even if you have your Yahoo! mail forward to your work address, that's even more serious than using the internet from a work computer for non-business matters. Now you'd be using work email for personal use. Your IT department can see ever piece of email you get. If they are blocking access to your Yahoo! mail, they certainly don't want Yahoo! mail coming to your work email on a work computer. I'd bet anything there are some policies regarding using a work computer for personal use.

It says to go to Open Question Page then go to options., I can't find Options.

Go to your profile, click "edit my info", scroll down to "Email Communications from Yahoo! Answers", unmark "Email me when I receive a new answer to a question I've asked". Don't forget to save your new settings and everything should be fine...:-)

You can also go to your question-----?see that little toolbar under it ?? Hover your mouse over the icons to identify their action. I don't remember which one---but one of them has a link for you to stop receiving emails regarding the question.

I am looking for a free program that I can download that will offer spam guard for my email address?
My email address does not offer this feature, and I am getting way too many solicitations.

You would need to use a 3rd party program to take advantage of a spam guard. If you are using a 3rd party program, then it probably has one built into it.
Edit to add:
By 3rd party program I mean like Outlook.

Reply:Unfortunately the best protection is on the server side, Outlook 2003 does a pretty good job but hassle your ISP to block known spam sender IPs using the spamhaus (spamhaus.org) list.
