Some one stole my email address and is using it to scam. I can't access it. How can I shut down my old email?

You can't because you don't have access to it.





You could try reporting it to whoever your email account is with, but I wouldn't hold your breath either waiting for a reply or for anything to be done.

R U sure they really stole it? It may be appear that way but just be a link to another address. Apparently they have a way of creating many psuedo names with similarity to your name. You may not have to delete your email. I also started recieving spams at first similar to mine and then finally one identical to mine. But they really did not have mine and it was just a one time deal. It really shocked me just like it did you. I changed my email address and then it happened to the new one also.
