When I send an email through Yahoo my password shows up beside my user name. I can't find anywhere that I put this information on the same line during sign up or in my current profile. I could be exactly what it is saying, you might be out of hard drive space, on the other hand it could be some corruption in your message store, or your computer might just need to be rebooted.
Try emptying your recycle bin. Close all programs and go to your c: drive (under my computer) on the C drive you should see a folder called temp, open the temp directory and delete everything in side the temp folder (don't delete the temp folder itself)
Download cleanup! from http://stevengould.org and run it. It will delete all the temporary files on your hard drive and could possibly free up a LOT of space.
After cleaning up the temp files, reboot your computer and try deleting your emails again.

Reply:look through your old messages - you will probably find that you have not read an email from ages ago or you might have accidently marked one of your messages as unread. look back through your earlier pages of emails.
either that or there is a problem with your account. look around and you should be able to find something where you can contact the people at Hotmail and they might be able to sort you out.

Spam and junk emails is something that EVERYBODY has these days... just try not to open emails which u do not know the sender, and mark them as SPAM by ticking beside the email and then clicking on 'spam' button. this will send these emails to a different folder, but the problem is.... they don't come from only one sender... so you'll ALWAYS have spam dear.
Another way is to 'block user'.
I haven't tried that myself, but I know how to do it.
Juts log-in to your email account and click on 'options'. (top right)
You should see this:
Spam
Spam Protection
Customize our anti-spam tools to maximize your spam protection:
SpamGuard
Marking Spam + Not Spam
Image Blocking
Block Addresses
Block addresses from which you don't want to receive mail.

If the sender using Yahoo China (in Simplified Chinese) to compose the mail and send it to you, then try to select GB2312 or other Simplified Chinese encoding if that don't work.
If the sender using Yahoo Taiwan or Hong Kong (in Traditional Chinese) to compose the mail and send it to you, then try to select Big-5 or other Traditional Chinese encoding if that don't work.
You need to do that each time when you want to view the Chinese email.
However, if the sender was using a Yahoo mail in English language, and never choose the correct encoding while composing the email in Chinese, then you might not be able to read it even if you make the changes to the encoding.
If you always have the problem viewing after playing around with the encoding thing, the fool proof method would be to ask the sender to "print screen" (you know the "print screen" key on your computer keyboard? which could print the image of your current screen) of that email and then mail you the image of it. How can I report someone who is hacking my AOL email?
I know my sister is hacking my AOL email account and she sent an email to one of my friends which defamed me. I know it wasn't that big of a deal, but privacy is privacy and you don't go hacking accounts. She guessed the password right on the first try (yes I will change it) but I am annoyed. How can I report this, or get her back?

Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. How do you download my email to a flashdrive?
Insert the flash card, click start, then My Computer. Open the drive that contains the flash drive. Go to the email, select forward. High light the email by holding down the left mouse key and dragging the cursor over the email. Right click on the email and select copy. Go to the open flash drive folder and right click the mouse key and select paste. a copy of your email should be there. You can now remove the flash card or add more.

Buttons to "move," "forward," "reply" don't work. Shortcut options don't work, either. I cannot do anything with my email except read it, and then it doesn't change color to show it's been read.

For the past two days I have not been able to open my email.
Why is this happening? Why can't I get a tech at Yahoo to fix this problem?
I can not open my email, keep getting "Page not available". How is this problwm corrected?
Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Javascript to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. I have been advised to use this site to view my mail, www.mail2web.com if all else fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?s... click yes when asked do you want to opt out. Hope this helps.
Reply:On your toolbar select tools %26gt; delete browsing history %26gt; then delete browsing history and delete cookies, then restart computer.
This will get you into your mail.

I have two computers, both using outlook to read my gmail. When I download my new messages on computer 1, they are no longer available to download on computer 2. How can I set it up so that all my email shows on both computers, rather than whatever computer checks first?

As I don't use Gmail I don't know for sure its available but I know some email programs give you the option in them to keep the emails on their server or delete them once downloaded. Outlook express gives you that option.
Go into Gmail and see if it has that option if so tell it to retain the messages and that will allow you to download it on as many computers as you want.
However you may have to go in and clean it out from gmail once and awhile if you do that.

Try right-clicking on the blank message field and choose "refresh". It worked for me for awhile until a couple of days ago.

Do you mean delete the temporary files downloaded to the computer?
If that's what you mean and you're running windows, click "start" then click "all programs" on the bottom left hand. Go to "accessories" and then click "system tools". From there you click the "disk cleanup" and it will cleanup all unnecessary files on your machine, which includes all the things that you download to temporary files from emails. Before it deletes anything, a box will pop up that says "are you sure you would like to complete this action" or something along those lines and you will see where it says "temporary internet files" just make sure that box is checked and hit ok. It is usually ok to leave checked whatever they have selected as well.

I two different email addresses confirmed with PayPal. One is the primary address. If I don't want someone to know my primary email address, can I have them send payment to my secondary address and still get payment?

Occasionally I have problems accessing Yahoo from work due to our server blocking, I have set up automatic forwarding but I understand that if I do that, I won't be able to pick up emails at home unless I go through my workplace server.

Now you'd be using work email for personal use. Your IT department can see ever piece of email you get. If they are blocking access to your Yahoo! mail, they certainly don't want Yahoo! mail coming to your work email on a work computer. I'd bet anything there are some policies regarding using a work computer for personal use.
